1st International Congress on Forestry Digitalisation (Cidifor)

The 1st International Congress on Forestry Digitalisation (Cidifor) will take place on 5 and 6 May at the Forum Evolución in Burgos. This is a new flagship event focusing on the application of technologies to the forestry sector. Organised as part of the RetechFOR project, the event will bring together experts, companies, public authorities and research centres to analyse the impact of innovation on sustainable forest management.

Over two days, the congress will address the use of tools such as artificial intelligence, sensor technology, remote sensing and data analysis applied to forest resource management, as well as solutions for fire prevention and environmental risk management. The programme will also focus on the forest bioeconomy and the opportunities for economic development linked to the sustainable use of natural resources.

Cidifor was established with a view to continuity and to becoming an international forum for the exchange of knowledge and experiences, in a context marked by the need to move towards more resilient management models adapted to climate change. Furthermore, the event will serve as a showcase for innovative technologies and projects under development within the forestry sector.
