This international meeting on water aims to share traditional systems and innovations that can help our cities adapt to a new climate situation. Without large investments, recycling what already exists and fragmenting solutions into projects that can be assumed by all. Allowing that, from the smallest scale, we are able to use water optimally and always in our favor.
The Toledo School of Architecture of the University of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain, is the organiser/venue. This congress is an event that links together professionals and researchers to the need to adapt our current cities to a new climate situation and serves to exchange experiences among them with the aim of sharing traditional and innovative systems that, with a global perspective, can collaborate in the adaptation of our cities. Without large investments, recycling what already exists and fragmenting the solutions into projects that can be assumed by all. Allowing that, from the smallest scale, we are able to use water optimally and always in our favour.
This congress proposes a transversal structure of the thematic lines of research of the communications: The Adaptable City: Between Floods and Drought; Water Supply and Natural Cooling; and Water Heritage.
