Germ of Life had the pleasure of participating in the Natural Heritage Mission’s Community of Practice meeting in Athens for a powerful gathering supporting dialogue, innovation, and collaboration. We present, with the intervention of Panagiota Saranti, our Project Manager, the progress of our project to improve drought risk management and mitigation. We also learned about the work being done by other Interreg Euro-MED supported projects working on environmental issues.
As part of the Interreg Euro-MED Mission for Natural Heritage, this meeting brought together key actors working to protect, restore, and enhance natural resources across the Mediterranean. It was a great opportunity to share insights, build connections, and align efforts on sustainable and innovative governance.
During that meeting, among other results, work was done on:
– Prepare the next Institutional Dialogue to be held in Barcelona this November,
– Launched this year’s #SolveTheChallengecampaign to support environmental governance,
-Worked on our joint messages for UfM’s Regional Forum
– Held cluster sessions on environmental governance, climate change in coastal areas, disaster risk reduction, nature-based solutions, forest management, and communication.
